Stewed Chicken Cooking Recipes

Ingredients :

chicken, cut into bite sized pieces

medium potatoes, cut into wedges

small red onions

pips garlic

preserved soy bean paste

cooking oil

hot water


thick soy sauce

salt to taste

Method :
  1. Pound onions and garlic until fine, add in soybean paste and mash well.
  2. Fry potato wedges in hot oil until lightly browned.
  3. Drain and leave about 1/4 cup oil in pan.
  4. Add in the pounded paste and stir fry until fragrant.
  5. Add in chicken pieces and stir fry for another 5 minutes.
  6. Add in 2 cups water, sugar and thick soy sauce and bring to boil.
  7. Lower the flame and continue to cook until chicken is tender.
  8. Stir in potatoes and add in salt to taste.

Serves 6 - 8
