Sweet and Sour Cuttlefish Cooking Recipes

Ingredients :

300 g

Sauce :

1 cup

1/3 cup

1 tbsp

2 tsp


fresh cuttlefish

cloves garlic, minced

large onions, cut into wedges

pineapple wedges

fresh red chilies, sliced





tomato sauce



chili sauce

corn flour blended with 1 tbsp water

salt to taste

Method :
  1. Clean the cuttlefish, discarding the skin, ink sac and head.
  2. Wash well with salt.
  3. Score the outer surface with a criss cross pattern and cut into bite sized pieces.
  4. Heat oil in a pan, add the cuttlefish and pineapple and stir until almost cooked.
  5. Stir in the sauce ingredients and bring to boil.
  6. Lower the heat and simmer for 2 minutes.
  7. Thicken with the corn flour mixture.
  8. Serve garnished with the sliced chilies.
