Pasta with Tomato, Basil, and Garlic Sauce Recipes

Ingredients :

12 cups canned chopped tomatoes (2 28-ounce cans)

3 tbsp chopped garlic

1 cup chopped fresh basil

1 tsp sugar

freshly ground black pepper

salt

10 ounces angel hair pasta

1/4 cup chiffonaded fresh basil

Method :

In a large, nonstick saucepan, combine the tomatoes, garlic, basil, and sugar. Bring to a boil and simmer, uncovered, over low heat for 30 minutes. Season to taste with pepper and salt. Prepare the pasta according to the package directions. Drain the pasta well and divide into 6 servings. Ladle sauce over each serving and garnish with the chiffonaded basil.

Serves 6

This is exceptionally easy to prepare and a good sauce to keep on hand in your refrigerator. It will keep well for up to 3 days in the refrigerator or frozen for up to 2 months.
