Lightly Spiced Shrimp Recipes

Ingredients :

2 tbsp peanut oil

3-4 garlic cloves, minced

12 oz fresh shrimp, shelled and deveined

1/4 cup homemade dense tomato sauce or 1 medium-sized ripe tomato, peeled, seeded and diced

2 tsp hot chili puree

3 tbsp Chinese rice wine

1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

pinch of sugar

4 oz fresh snow peas, trimmed

1 tbsp minced cilantro for garnish

Method :

Heat oil in wok over medium-high heat, add garlic, and brown lightly. Add shrimp, turn heat to high, and stir-fry for 1 minute. Stir in tomato sauce or diced tomato, chili puree, rice wine, lemon juice, and sugar. Stir for 30 seconds. Add snow peas and stir for 30 seconds more. Remove to warmed serving dish, garnish with cilantro, and serve immediately with rice.

Serves 2-3
