Sweet Sour Spareribs Recipes

Ingredients :

550 g

1/2 tablespoon

3 tablespoons



cloves garlic, chopped finely


thin soy sauce

rice wine

tomato sauce

Worcestershire sauce

sesame oil


tapioca flour

tomato sliced

oil for deep frying


Method :
  1. Clean and cut the spareribs into 7 cm lengths.

  2. Season with garlic, salt, soy sauce, rice wine and pepper.

  3. Let stand for 1 hour.

  4. Prepare gravy.

  5. Mix together tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, sesame oil, sugar and 3 tablespoons water.

  6. Coat the spareribs in tapioca flour and fry in hot oil over medium heat for 5 minutes.

  7. Remove the spareribs.

  8. Reheat oil and fry the spareribs again for 1 minute.

  9. Remove and drain on absorbent paper.

  10. Drain off all the oil from the pan.

  11. Pour in the gravy mixture and boil until thick.

  12. Add the fried ribs.

  13. Mix thoroughly.

  14. Serve garnished with tomato slices.
