Hoisin Beef Salad Recipes

Ingredients :

Dressing :

2 tablespoons

1 teaspoon

lean roast beef, thinly sliced

head Chinese leaves

large carrots

daikon

chopped fresh chives

carrot and daikon flowers, to garnish

 

hoisin sauce

brown sugar

red rice vinegar

sesame oil

Method :
  1. Trim any fat from beef slices and cut into 1 cm strips.

  2. Discard damaged outer layer of Chinese leaves and cut out centre core.

  3. Shred leaves finely and arrange on 4 serving plates.

  4. Peel and grate carrot and daikon and arrange on top of Chinese leaves.

  5. Arrange beef strips in the center and sprinkle each plate with chives.

  6. In a small bowl, mix together hoisin sauce, sugar vinegar and oil and drizzle over beef.

  7. Garnish with carrot and daikon flowers and serve.

Serves 4
