Malaysian Fruit Salad Recipes

Ingredients :

light brown sugar

small pineapple, peeled, cored and cubed

lychees, peeled, stoned and halved

ripe mangoes, peeled, stoned and chopped

papaya, peeled, seeded and chopped

grated zest and juice 1 lime

Method :
  1. Put sugar, lime zest and juice and 150 ml water in a saucepan.

  2. Heat gently, stirring with a wooden spoon, until sugar has dissolved.

  3. Heat syrup to boiling point then simmer for 1 minutes.

  4. Remove form heat and leave to cool.

  5. Put pineapple, lychees, mangoes and papaya in a serving dish.

  6. Pour over cool syrup.

  7. Cover dish with cling film and put in the refrigerator to chill.

Serves 4
