Bordelaise Sauce Recipes

Ingredients :

1/4 cup

2 tsp

1.5 tbsp

1 cup

1.5 tbsp

1 tbsp

1 tsp

chopped fresh mushrooms

butter or margarine

cornstarch

cold beef broth

red wine

lemon juice

dried tarragon, crushed

Method :
  1. In small saucepan, cook mushrooms in butter till tender, about 4 minutes.

  2. Combine cornstarch and beef broth.

  3. Blend into mushrooms.

  4. Cook and stir till mixture boils.

  5. Add remaining ingredients and dash pepper.

  6. Simmer about 5 minutes.

Makes about 1 cup
