Method :
- Heat the water in the saucepan
until very hot.
- Add the garlic and simmer until
tender.
- Add tomato purée, basil and black
pepper to taste and stir.
- Simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring
occasionally.
- Spoon the hot sauce over cooked
plain or whole meal spaghetti.
- Top with grated Parmesan cheese.
To vary - To the completed sauce add: 4
black olives, pitted and halved, 4 tbsp of tuna, or diced cooked
chicken.
To store - Covered, in the refrigerator
for up to 3 days.
