Sauce Provencale Recipes

Ingredients :


1/4 teaspoon

4 teaspoons

1 tablespoon

2 tablespoons


2 teaspoons

medium tomato, peeled, cut in 6-8 wedges and seeded


butter or margarine

chopped garlic onion

dry sherry

small clove garlic, chopped

snipped parsley

Method :
  1. Sprinkle tomato wedges with sugar; set aside.

  2. Melt the 2 teaspoons butter in skillet.

  3. Add green onion; heat through.

  4. Add wine; cook and stir till liquid is slightly reduced.

  5. Add tomato; heat through. (Do not allow wedges to lose shape)

  6. Add remaining ingredients.

  7. Heat, stirring gently, till butter melts.

  8. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

  9. Serve over Charcoal Broiled Steak.

Makes 1 cup
