Oxtail Soup Recipes

Ingredients :

600 g


1 teaspoon

1/2 teaspoon

1 teaspoon





cumin seeds


coriander seeds

piece cinnamon stick

large onion - quartered

salt to taste

Method :
  1. Clean the oxtail well and cut into small pieces.

  2. It is advisable to get the ready cut oxtail as it is quite difficult to cut.

  3. Pound the aniseed and coriander finely and wrap in muslin cloth.

  4. Peel the potatoes and quarter them.

  5. Boil the oxtail in enough water until almost done with the quartered onion, wrapped spices and cinnamon stick.

  6. Add in the potatoes and continue cooking until tender.

  7. Serve garnished with chopped spring onions and fried onion slices.

  8. Can be served with either bread or rice.
