Winter Melon Soup Recipes

Ingredients :



6 cm


200 g

1 tablespoon

winter melon, sliced coarsely

bunch so hoon, soaked and cut into 3 cm lengths

piece young ginger

cloves garlic, crushed

fresh prawns, shelled


salt and pepper to taste

Method :
  1. Heat 1 tablespoon oil and fry the ginger and garlic until fragrant.

  2. Add in 2 cups water and bring to boil.

  3. Add in the prawns and simmer for 30 minutes.

  4. Add in the so hoon and season well with salt and pepper.

  5. Put in the winter melon and simmer over low heat until the melon is cooked.

Serves 4 - 6
