all-purpose flour

8-ounce can (1 cup) stewed tomatoes
chopped celery
chopped carrot
chopped onion
Worcestershire sauce
shredded sharp process American cheese |
Method :
Cut meat into 2 portions. Mix flour and salt; pound into meat; set aside remaining flour. Brown meat in small amount of hot shortening. Place meat in small shallow baking dish. Blend remaining flour with drippings in skillet. Add remaining ingredients, except cheese, and cook, stirring constantly, till mixture boils. Pour over meat. Cover and bake in moderate oven (350°) 2 hours or till meat and vegetables are tender. Sprinkle cheese over meat. Return to oven for few minutes.
