Steamed Carp With Soy Sauce Recipes

Ingredients :

1 middle part of grass carp (about 450 g)

1 tbsp shredded ginger

1 tbsp shredded spring onion

Sauce :

2/3 tbsp boiling oil

1 tbsp sweet light soy sauce ( made by melting 1 tsp of sugar and 1 tbsp of light soy sauce in pan over low heat)

Marinade :

1 tsp caltrop starch

1 tsp oil

1/2 tsp sugar

pinch of pepper

Method :
  1. Wash and wipe dry fish.
  2. Mix with marinade.
  3. Line a little shredded spring onion on base of dish.
  4. Top with fish, sprinkle with ginger.
  5. Steam for 8 minutes.
  6. Remove and drain liquid from steaming fish.
  7. Sprinkle fish with spring onion and pour sauce on top, ready to serve

Serves 4
