Steamed Quails With Honey Lemon Juice Recipes

Ingredients :

4 quails

1/2 onion (about 113 g)

1 lemon

1 tbsp honey

1 plant of Chinese parsley

Marinade :

1 tsp salt

1 tsp dark soy sauce

1 tsp grated shallot

1 1/2 tsp caltrop starch

pinch of pepper

dash of ginger juice

dash of wine

Method :
  1. Cut onion into strips.
  2. Juice 1/2 lemon and slice the other half.
  3. Mix 1/2 tbsp of honey and 1 tsp of lemon juice together.
  4. Cut open quails, remove innards and rub with coarse salt, drain.
  5. Marinate for at least 1 hour.
  6. Then mix with 1/2 tbsp of honey, a little lemon juice and lemon zest puree.
  7. Place onion strips on base of dish.
  8. Top with quails and sliced lemon.
  9. Steam for 15 minutes.
  10. Leave to cool and chop up (or leave as whole).
  11. Sprinkle with Chinese parsley and pour honey lemon juice on top, serve.
