Ham Stock Recipes

Ingredients : |
|
1 ham bone
3 pints water
1 large onion, stuck with a clove
2 celery sticks, chopped
2 carrots, chopped
1 bay leaf |
Method :
- Cover the ham bone with the water,
bring to the boil, add the vegetables and bay leaf and simmer for
180 minutes.
- Strain and cool
Use this as a basis for soups made with
pulses or in pork or bacon dishes.
