Fried Crunchy Dumpling Recipes

Ingredients :

1 1/2 cups plain flour

3 tbsp custard powder

1 1/2 tbsp granulated sugar

3 tbsp lard

3 tbsp peanut oil

1/3 cup water

Filling

38g peanuts

38g white sesame seeds

38g flaked coconut

3 tbsp granulated sugar

Method :

Stir fry peanuts. Remove membranes and grate. Wash sesame seeds and drain well. Stir fry. Mix with flaked coconut and granulated sugar to form filing. Sift plain flour and custard powder. Form a hollow in center. Slowly add lard, peanut oil, granulated sugar and water. Knead into soft dough. Shape into thin sheet. Mould into round shapes. Put in a suitable amount of filling. Fold up and press firmly. Make lace round and edge. Deep fry over low or medium heat until golden.

Serves 4 - 6
