Pan Bagnia Recipe

1/2 bunch

long French bread stick

clove garlic, peeled

hard-boiled eggs, peeled and sliced

ripe tomatoes, thinly sliced

radishes, washed and sliced

can anchovies, drained

small butter lettuce, torn into bite-sized pieces

little olive oil

black olives, halved and stoned

freshly ground black pepper

Method :

  1. Slice bread stick through horizontally and remove some of the centre to make room for filling.

  2. Rub the inside of the bread with the cut clove of garlic and sprinkle with a little olive oil.

  3. Arrange all the ingredients on the bottom half of the bread stick.

  4. Season with pepper, cover with the top half and tie in place.

  5. Wrap in greaseproof paper to transport and cut into four to serve.
