Sweetened Peas Recipes

Ingredients :

6 tablespoons

1 teaspoon

100 g

2 tablespoons

medium onion, finely chopped


shelled peas

chicken stock

clear honey

seedless white grapes

chopped mint

salt and pepper

Method :

Fry the onion in the butter for 2-3 minutes over moderate heat. Add the peas, stock and honey and season with salt and pepper. Cover and simmer for 8 minutes. Add the grapes and simmer for a further 3-4 minutes, until the peas are just tender. Garnish with the chopped mint and serve at once.

Serves 4

This dish is specially good with lamb, and with white fish.
