Pearl Patties and Cherry Dip Recipes

Ingredients :

long grain white rice

extra lean minced beef

spring onions, finely chopped

clove garlic, crushed

dark soy sauce

dry Cherry

corn flour

Method :
  1. Place rice in a bowl, add enough water to cover and soak for 1 hour.

  2. Drain well and dry on absorbent kitchen paper.

  3. Mix together beef, spring onions, garlic, soy sauce, Cherry and corn flour to form a firm mixture.

  4. Divide into 16 portions and shape into 4 cm diameter patties.

  5. Press each patty into rice to coat on both sides.

  6. Bring a wok or large saucepan of eater to the boil.

  7. arrange patties on a layer of greaseproof paper in a steamer, making sure they don't overlap - you will probably need 2 steamers.

  8. Place over water, cover and steam for 20 minutes.

  9. To make dip, mix together dry Cherry, soy sauce, sugar and garlic.

  10. Serve dip with parties.

Serves 4.
