Chicken Pot Roast Recipes

medium carrot, cut into chunks

potatoes, cut into half

bombay onions, cut into half

French beans, cut into half

dark soy sauce

light soy sauce


cloves garlic, pounded

piece ginger, pounded

salt and pepper to taste

a few cloves

Method :

Wash and clean chicken well then rub salt, pepper, allspice, ground garlic and ginger and dark and light soy sauce inside and out. Press cloves all over chicken and marinate for 30 minutes. Heat a deep saucepan with butter and fry the onions until transparent. Put in the whole chicken and brown all over in the butter. Add carrots and potatoes and add enough water to cook the chicken. Bring to boil, then simmer gently until chicken is almost tender. Add in the French beans and simmer and covered until French beans are cooked. Dish out and cut chicken into serving pieces and serve together with all the vegetables and gravy.
