 Beef Kebabs Recipes

Ingredients :

lean minced beef

onion, finely chopped

piece fresh root ginger, grated

cloves garlic, crushed

chili powder

Garam Masala

chopped coriander leaves

ground almonds

egg, beaten

chick pea flour

natural yogurt

vegetable oil

raw onion rings and thin lemon wedges, to garnish

Method :
  1. In a large bowl, mix together beef, onion, ginger, garlic, chili powder, garam masala, coriander, ground almonds, egg and flour.

  2. Cover beef mixture and leave in a cool place for up to 4 hours to allow flavors to blend.

  3. Shape into 16-20 long ovals and thread on to 4 long skewers.

  4. Mix together yogurt and oil and brush over kebabs.

  5. Heat grill.

  6. Cook kebabs for 20-25 minutes, until well browned and no longer pink in centers.

  7. Baste kebabs with more yogurt and oil mixture and turn occasionally during cooking.

  8. Serve hot, garnished with onion rings and lemon wedges.

Serves 4

The meatball mixture can be made up to 12 hours in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
