Mutton and Cabbage Curry Recipes

Ingredients :

mutton, cut into bite sized pieces

cabbage, leaves halved

meat curry powder

small piece ginger, sliced

cloves garlic, crushed

piece cinnamon

onion, sliced


curry leaves

coconut milk

tamarind juice or 4 tsp lime juice


salt to taste


Method :
  1. Put the mutton in a saucepan together with the garlic and ginger.
  2. Add enough water to cover and boil until tender.
  3. Heat a wok with oil and fry the curry leaves, cinnamon, cardamoms and onions until fragrant.
  4. Add the curry powder and cooked mutton.
  5. Stir well and allow to simmer for a few minutes.
  6. Add the cabbage leaves and pour in the coconut and tamarind juice.
  7. Add salt to taste.
  8. Bring to boil, ensuring that the cabbage softens and the gravy becomes thick.
