Fried Stuffed Fish Recipes
white fish, cleaned
piece fresh turmeric ( or 1/2 teaspoon
stalk lemon grass
oil for deep frying
turmeric leaves for wrapping the fish
- Marinate the fish with salt and
- Grind finely chilies, lemon grass
and turmeric until fine.
- Also grind some of the coconut.
- Slice thinly shallots and garlic.
- Mix with the coconut and spice
- Add in tamarind juice, pepper and
salt to taste.
- Place coconut filing into the
opening in the fish.
- Wrap the fish with the turmeric
leaf and tie with a piece of thread to prevent the filing form
- Fry the fish until slightly brown
and turn over.
- Fry until the fish is cooked.
Serves 4 - 6
