Grilled Fish Recipes

Ingredients :


Sauce :




1/2 cup

Spanish Mackerels, cleaned of intestines


red chilies, sliced thinly

green chilies, sliced thinly


tamarind juice

salt to taste

thumb size piece shrimp paste, toasted and crumbled

Method :
  1. Grill the fish over a charcoal fire until cooked on both sides.
  2. Prepare the sauce.
  3. Mix together all the ingredients and season to taste with salt.
  4. Serve the fish hot with the sauce either with rice or by itself.

Serves 4 - 6

The traditional way to grill fish is by using a pair of bamboo holders. The fish is put in between the bamboo and grilled over a charcoal fire.
