Fish Fillets In Coconut Sauce Cooking Recipes

fish fillets - sole or plain, cut into 3 pieces

oil

onion seeds

red chilies, dried

garlic cloves, sliced

onion, sliced

tomatoes, sliced

coconut, shredded

coriander powder

water

lime juice

coriander, chopped

salt to taste

Method :
  1. Heat oil in a wok.
  2. Reduce heat and add onion seeds, dried red chilies, garlic and onion.
  3. Stir fry for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Mix in the tomatoes, grated coconut, salt and coriander.
  5. Add the fish pieces to the mixture and turn gently to cook evenly.
  6. Simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes.
  7. Stir in the water, lime juice and chopped coriander.
  8. Cook further for 3-5 minutes or until the water evaporates.
  9. Remove to serving dish and serve hot, accompanied by steamed rice or and mixed vegetable raita.
