Fish Rolls Recipes

Ingredients : |
12 fish
(2" x 4" strips)
60ml
butter
4 onions
chopped
3 green
chili, slit
2g
turmeric (haldi) powder
10g
ginger, chopped
100ml
cream
200ml
yoghurt, whisked
2g
fenugreek (methidana) seeds broiled, powdered
2g green
cardamom (choti elaichi) powder |
Method :
- Roll each fish strip and secure
with a toothpick.
- Heat oil in a heavy bottomed pan
and sauté onions until soft.
- Add green chilies and ginger to
the onions and stir fry for a few minutes.
- Add turmeric powder, yoghurt,
cream, fenugreek and cardamom powder, sauté for 10-15 minutes.
- Place the fish rolls in the sauce
and cook on slow fire or dum for 10-15 minutes or until fish is
cooked.
- Remove from heat.
- Transfer the fish onto a serving
dish, remove the toothpicks.
- Strain the gravy and pour on top
of the fish.
- Serve hot, garnished with green
coriander and accompanied by steamed rice.
