Fish, Slow Oven Style Recipes

Ingredients :

500g fish, cut into boneless cubes

50ml oil

4 green cardamoms (choti elaichi)

1 bay leaf (tej patta)

8g ginger paste

8g garlic paste

15g red chili paste

15g coriander powder

salt to taste

10g yellow chili powder

10g poppy seed (khus khus) paste

20g cashewnuts paste

20g brown onion paste

250ml yoghurt

2 juice of lemons

Method :
  1. Heat oil in a heavy bottomed pan.
  2. Sauté cardamom and bay leaf for a few minutes.
  3. Add ginger and garlic pastes and sauté for 1 minute.
  4. Add red chili paste, coriander powder.
  5. Stir fry for another minute and remove from heat.
  6. Add all the other ingredients together with the fish except for lemon juice.
  7. Transfer this mixture to an oven proof dish.
  8. Cover the dish and seal with dough.
  9. Place the dish in an oven at low temperature and allow to cook for 20 minutes.
  10. Remove from the oven and sprinkle lemon juice over the fish.
  11. Serve hot.
