Ingredients :

shrimps, peeled

oil

mustard (raee) seeds

curry leaves

garlic, slivered

onions, chopped

green chili, chopped

coriander powder

red chili powder

turmeric (haldi) powder

coconut (fresh), grated

cumin (jeera), whole

coconut milk

salt to taste

Method :
  1. Heat oil in wok, sauté mustard seeds till they crackle, add curry leaves, garlic slivers and chopped onions.
  2. Stir fry till onions are transparent.
  3. Stir in all other ingredients except for coconut milk.
  4. Cook till the oil separates and appears on the surface.
  5. Add water as and when necessary to cook the curry.
  6. Add coconut milk along with shrimps, stir fry till shrimps are cooked and curry thickens.
  7. Remove from heat.
  8. Serve hot, accompanied by Chappatis.
