Balinese Pork (Bali Bali) Recipes

Ingredients :

1 tbsp peanut oil

750g pork loin or fillet pork, diced

1/4 cup sweet soy sauce

1 tbsp lime juice

1-1.5 cups water

 

Paste -

3 small red chilies, deseeded and chopped

2 French shallots, chopped

2 cloves garlic, chopped

2 tsp root ginger, chopped

1 tsp terasi

2 tsp peanut oil

Method :

Crush or pound paste ingredients in a mortar with pestle or in a small food processor. Heat remaining oil in a saucepan and stir-fry paste for 1-2 minutes. Add pork and stir-fry for 4-5 minutes. Add kecap manis, lime juice and water. Cover saucepan and simmer for 1 hour. Serve with side bows of boiled rice.
