Calamari (Cumi-Cumi Goreng) Recipes

Ingredients :

1/4 cup lemon juice

1/2 tsp ground turmeric

1 clove garlic, crushed

pinch of salt

500g squid

1/2 cup plain flour

oil for cooking

a sprinkle of chili flakes and lemon or lime wedges to serve

Method :

Combine lemon juice, turmeric, garlic and salt to make marinade. Cut squid into rings or pieces. Place squid in a dish. Pour marinade over and marinate for 2-3 hours in the refrigerator. Dip squid in flour and deep-fry in hot oil until golden and crisp. Serve squid with chili flakes and lemon or lime wedges.

Serves 4
