Chicken Satay (Sate Ayam) Recipes

Ingredients :

12 bamboo skewers

500g chicken thigh fillets, diced (beef, lamb and pork can also be used)

2 tbsp peanut oil

2 tbsp sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)

1 tbsp soy sauce

1 clove garlic, crushed

Method :

Soak bamboo skewers in cold water for 15-20 minutes. Thread diced chicken onto bamboo skewers. Place chicken in a large dish. Combine peanut oil, kecap manis, soy sauce and garlic. Pour marinade over chicken and leave to marinate in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours. Cook satays on a barbecue for 10-15 minutes or until cooked. Serve with peanut sauce.
