Fried Noodles (Bakmi Goreng) Recipes

Ingredients :

200g dried egg noodles or thin noodles

1 tbsp peanut oil

4 French shallots, sliced

500g chicken thigh fillets, diced

2 cloves garlic, crushed

1 carrot, peeled and finely sliced or grated

2 cups Chinese cabbage, shredded

2 tbsp sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)

1/3 cup chicken stock

1 cup bean sprouts

4 green shallots, sliced

Method :

Cook noodles following packet directions. Drain and set noodles aside. Heat oil in a wok. Add shallots and cook until golden. Add chicken and garlic and stir-fry until just cooked. Add carrots and stir-fry for a further 2 minutes. Add cabbage, kecap manis and stock and continue to cook until cabbage is wilted. Add noodles, bean sprouts and green shallots and stir-fry until heated through.

Serves 4
