90ml thick santan from 230g coconut (no
water added)
1 lemon grass (serai), smashed lightly
1 slice old tumeric (kunyit)
150g granulated sugar
1/8 tsp salt
3 pandan leaves
a few drops yellow coloring
Method :
Mix all
the ingredients well. Pour into a heavy saucepan and cook over low
heat to dissolve sugar. Strain mixture and return to saucepan.
Remove pandan leaves. Stir till mixture thickens over low heat.
Remove. Serve with Pulut Tekan.
Use low
heat to cook Kaya to prevent eggs from curdling.
