Beef and Brown Rice Recipes

Ingredients : |

500g
cooked minced beef
3 tbsp
wheat meal
1 onion,
chopped
1
capsicum, sliced
1/2 tsp
salt
pepper
30g butter
2 cups
cooked brown rice
1/2 cup
tomato sauce
1 cup
water |
Method :
- Place minced beef in a bowl and
stir in the wheat meal until well mixed.
- Add chopped onion, sliced capsicum
and seasonings.
- Grease an ovenproof casserole with
the butter and put in the beef mixture in alternating layers with
the cooked brown rice.
- Mix tomato sauce and water and
pour over the top layer of beef.
- Cook gently for 30 minutes with
the lid on the casserole, removing it for the last 10 minutes of
cooking.
- This dish is open to adventurous
variations and needs only an accompanying dish of greens to make it
a balanced meal.
