Steamed Cauliflower Recipes

Ingredients :


1/2 cup

head cauliflower


salt and freshly ground pepper

Method :
  1. Break the cauliflower into florets or leave it whole.

  2. Place the water in the bottom of a large saucepan.

  3. Bring water to a boil and add the cauliflower, either in the steamer basket or directly to the pan.

  4. Cover tightly and steam for 7-10 minutes, until cauliflower is tender.

  5. If the water starts to boil away, add a bit more.

  6. Remove cauliflower from basket or pan.

  7. Season with salt and pepper and serve.

Serves 4

Steaming leaves colors brighter and flavors stronger and fresher, and it's ideal for broccoli and cauliflower, as well as carrots, Brussels sprouts, and asparagus.
